Who doesn't like to be able to customise their gadgets? Daiwa Sports UK felt it was time for anglers to be able to do just that to a key range of rods and reels. In angling terms a revolution was born, with Dupree Creative facilitating it's delivery every stage of the way.
DCR is the Daiwa Custom Revolution. It has been designed and built using the development skills of Dupree Creative along with the industry knowledge of Daiwa Sports UK to produce a tool for anglers who want to create their own, customised rod or reel. It has been built so that the angler may sit at home and design their dream product using their desktop computer or, and this is more likely, they are able to use DCR on their mobile whilst sat on the riverbank waiting for the next bite. Once the customised item has been created it can be ordered online, through a local Daiwa retailer, shared with friends through social media or saved for future alterations and purchase.
Designed and developed to bolt into any website and to be fully responsive across all platforms. The responsive aspect proved crucial as well as over half of the visitors used there mobile devices to access the website application.



Within a hour of Daiwa announcing on Facebook and Twitter that DCR had been released, almost 3,500 people had started using the system and over 15,000 pounds of potential revenue had been raised. Of course, for the Dupree Creative team, this just meant burning the midnight oil upgrading the server to ensure that it did not melt completely.
Incorporated into the main daiwasports.co.uk site, the website app will be rolled-out to affiliated Daiwa angling trade retail websites during the coming year.
